Big news just in from

Team TWR are over the moon as our 2024 SV Syrah has been selected as a finalist for 2026 NZ Red Wine of the Year !!

We have always believed in the potential of Syrah in the South Island and have poured a lot of love into it since our first plantings back in 2004.

To be acknowledged in this way is just mind blowing and we are just so thrilled!

Some very special guests for a vineyard tour and tasting !

Stop it Marlborough, just stop it! It’s impossible to come to this region without a full ‘dip’ into the wine barrel. Thanks to Anna,Jason and Izzy Flowerday from Te Whare Ra Vineyard and Winery for the best wine famil ever (we think we may have discovered one of the world’s youngest (and talented) wine maker)! .

Vintage 2026 photo dump

Few days break over Easter and long overdue for a vintage report so here it is in pictorial form.

A fast and furious start in the first week with much of the home block coming in a fairly short window and then a bit of breathing space before we picked the old vine Riesling, Syrah and Awatere Sauvignon Blanc all in the latter part of March.

Quality looks amazing we are just thrilled with the early promise across the board. Lots of exciting things to share in coming months!

Lovely bit of limelight for Izzy Flowerday and her first wine release.

A moment worth celebrating. 🥳

Izzy, from the Flowerday family of Whare Ra (TWR) Wines in Renwick, has officially released her Rosé. TWR is a small, Certified Organic vineyard and winery in Marlborough, owned by winemakers Anna and Jason Flowerday, with one of the region’s oldest 11-hectare vineyards.

Inspired by her sisters, Izzy was involved in every stage of the journey, from crafting the wine through to shaping the label design. What began as a personal idea has become a finished release she can truly be proud of.

Congratulations on a milestone that reflects both heritage and the next generation stepping forward. 💚
