Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing mums, grandmas, step mums, bonus mums and mother figures out there 💐

And a huge thank you to every single customer who chose The Flower Farm to help celebrate the special women in your lives this week. Your support means the world to our farm and our hardworking team and we look forward to surprising your Mum with a delivery today.

And to our incredible team of mums, thank you. Mums are the backbone of this farm. The women who just show up, get stuck in, work ridiculously hard and somehow keep everything moving, both here and at home 🌸

And especially to my own Mum… well, where do I even start. She still comes to work every single day, unpaid, now into her 80s, and just quietly gets on with whatever needs doing. No fuss, no complaints, just pure dedication and love for this place and our family ❤️

Mother’s Day week starts very early for us here at The Flower Farm, long before the shop gets busy. Behind the scenes we’re picking and bunching flowers for florists, supermarkets, dairies and flower wholesalers all over the country.

Now… someone bring us coffee and a massage 😂

Just a little Mother’s Day heads-up 🌸

Before ordering flowers online this week, please make sure you’re buying from an actual local florist. Websites like Bloomex, Mel’s Flowers, and NZ Blooms often appear local, but orders are frequently sent from outside the region and many customers are left disappointed when what arrives doesn’t match what was advertised.

While we’d obviously love you to support us at The Flower Farm, there are also plenty of amazing genuine local florists in our area creating beautiful fresh flowers for Mother’s Day 💐

A quick check for a real local address, local social media pages, and genuine local reviews helps make sure your money stays supporting local businesses — and that Mum gets the flowers you actually ordered.
