What an epic road trip we have had!! Nothing beats sister time and we definitely had that in spades!!
First stop was Tirau to have the obligatory road trip pie!! The perfect way to fuel the journey before we navigated the pros and cons of an EV road trip (yes, we absolutely coasted into Taupo with just 10% battery). Nothing like living on the edge!!
Palmerston North was next on the agenda where my awesome neice and her partner live.
Tuesday morning I got to catch up with dear friends from Rotorua who are now in Paraparaumu. Mal was my absolute savior and "Mr. Fix-it" during my Mistress of Cakes days—he was the ultimate handy chap, always there whenever something needed fixing and was responsible for keeping my trusty Kenwood mixing!!
From there it was a hop skip and jump to Windy Wellington which absolutely lived up to its reputation. I have not been that cold in a very long time!! Wellington was a total whirlwind of delicious food and precious time with my big sister and my gorgeous niece, Emily Rose. Having her there with us made the Wellington laughs even better!
We enjoyed so much delicious food along the way, but the absolute culinary highlight was our incredible dinner at Ombra—the food was so tasty and the service was brilliant!
My heart is so full. Back to the big smoke now, but so incredibly grateful for these memories. Here’s to the next adventure!

What a truly wonderful response to my last post. It has been so lovely reading through all your messages and reconnecting with everyone again.
Life is an absolute whirlwind at the moment, as we are only two weeks away from the end of the school year! There is so much to organize, sort out, and pack up to get all my boys safely on their way home for the big break. I’m sharing a few snaps of the school today—the first one is Taylor House, where I live and work, and the others should give you a lovely glimpse of the rest of the grounds.
Once the madness of the end of term finally settles down, I'll definitely have more updates to share. Mumma Mistress and I are off to Melbourne, so you are definitely going to want to see what shenanigans we get up to! Stay posted for the holiday adventures!

I can't believe it has been almost two years since I started my new life in Malaysia. Looking back through my camera roll has me reflecting on just how much has happened since making the leap.
The last two years have been a whirlwind of travel, epic road trips, and exploring some truly beautiful places. From awesome travels within Malaysia to heading home for Christmas to celebrate Popas 85th birthday, it has been non-stop. I also managed an epic road trip through California, stopping in Hollywood and San Diego to see friends and family, before heading onto Utah to visit Zion and Bryce National Parks, driving through Vegas for a wee flutter, and finishing up with a week in Boulder Creek.
Alongside all the adventures, I have been settling into my role as a Dame, looking after 36 boys at the school. I have spent this time focused on learning constantly, and building a life surrounded by friends who have become family.
I know I have only shared snippets here and there over the last two years while I grounded myself in this new life. But hitting this milestone feels like the right time to say a proper hello again and start sharing the journey more regularly. ###

I haven’t posted for ages, but when I heard the news today about Dame Jools passing, I wanted to repost these snaps. I have always loved the Topp Twins. Dame Jools was an absolute icon and the best Camp Leader there ever was. ❤️
