UPDATE - They have been named and shamed, and the police have also charged them. Thanks for the great community support. It was overwhelming.

Name and Shame these two sum bags.

We operate really good honestly box system but can only do that when people are honest.

They stole some eggs, stole all the notes and then decided to take all the coins too.

These eggs come from small families and it hurts when people steal.

"Fern" and "Betty" marching up to their new break of grass. Both are enjoying their holiday and will be back in the milking mob in about three weeks. Imagine how wide they will be by then!

This is the ‘Big H and the Little H’.

We purchased them from the same farm last year and they haven’t seen each other for a while as Helen has been away on her annual holiday and Hollis is getting ready for her holiday.

Helen (Big H) is our biggest producer, who is due to calve this week and is in calf to sexed Parfect.

It’s a joy to have both of them as part of the herd.

We have the start of our ‘herd of sheep’!

Very proud and excited to have twins out of our ‘Precious’ who’s full name is Te Hau Alcove Suri and was AI’d to Sheepster.

We have more calves due to Sheepster to add to our herd, but these girls will be the star of the show.

‘Precious’ is a no - nonsense cow who just wants to get the job done but one of twins is a real smooch.

Busy times at The Good Cow:-

Cows being dried off as we bring in more cows that are springing up to calve soon.

New calves born today to join the ones recently born.

And calves that really should be weaned, but I am a softy …

This is my ‘Lily’.

She was born on the farm and is the first heifer reared at The Good Cow to join the milking herd.

The horns shouldn’t be there, but they are part of her personality - full of mischief.

Even though she only calved a few days ago she is already producing 18 litres of milk a day!
