This is a shiny vehicle type of 4x4 trip

$130 for the Vehicle and two passengers, each extra person over 17 years, $20

All 4WDs welcome and must have low range four wheel drive and adequate ground clearance, for a day of traversing the central north island landscape at Waiouru including Waiouru Station

Must have all terrain or better TIRES with 50% or more tread

Overnight camping sites available for a extra $10.

BBQ supplied at the finish of the day.

On Saturday, 29th November, we had the absolute privilege of taking part in this year’s Moawhango Community Scenic 4WD Tour - the 20th edition of an event that means so much to the Moawhango community. 🚙🌾 🚙🌾

We were lucky with stunning weather as we travelled through Erewhon and Springvale Stations, enjoying views and access that wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of the station owners, managers, and their teams. Their hard work had the properties looking incredible for the tour. Days like this remind us that we truly live in the most beautiful place on earth. 💚🌏

As sponsors/participants, we’re proud to support an event that has, since 2004, helped fund countless projects for Moawhango School - from EOTC activities and computers to swimming lessons and even the school van. The wider community has benefitted too, with upgrades like the new covered deck at the local hall.

A huge thank you to the organising committee for keeping this tradition thriving, and to everyone who joins in year after year. It’s an honour to be part of something that showcases such a remarkable region and strengthens our rural communities - and we already look forward to joining again next year. 💚🐑🌏

The dust has now settled on our 20th tour, and what a tour it was. We were treated to spectacular weather as we made our way around Erewhon and Springvale Stations. A huge thank you to the managers and their teams, who had the stations looking immaculate for our visit, and to the owners for granting us access to these incredible properties.

But the biggest thank you goes to our participants and sponsors who, year after year, continue to support our school and community. Without you, we simply couldn’t keep showcasing our remarkable region and the farming sector that means so much to our wee country at the bottom of the world.
