"We eat pretty well, it's just the nights."
When Janine and Jason first came to me, nothing about their life was out of control. No crazy crazy weekends. No drive-thru every day. Just two normal, busy people doing their best, with kids, demanding jobs and a busy life..
A normal week looked like this:
β Coffee for breakfast. Lunch if work allowed it.
π A decent dinner, home cooked most nights, with no real thought other than your usual weekly rotation of meals.
πͺ Nerflix on the sofa. "Just one biscuit" ends with an empty packet between the two of you.
π The odd takeaway, because it's been a long week.
π Late nights, tired mornings, and round we go again.
None of this is a crime.
It wasn't one big problem. It was heaps of little leaks. Running on empty all day, then the evening making up for it and then some.
Sound familiar? It's most of the couples I meet.
We didn't go to war with dinner. We just plugged the leaks and built a system:
β Proper fuel early in the day, so they weren't starving by 2pm
β One plan they both followed, no more, no less!
β Just different snacks to control individuals calories
β Bedtime treated as a priority, not an afterthought
β Daily weigh-ins, read as a trend to assess progress.
Then came the boring bit and kept going which is where the magic actually happens.
42 kg down between them since April.
Janine: 115 kg β 88.8 kg (26.2 kg)
Jason: 98 kg β 81.8 kg (16.2 kg)
They didn't become different people. They just started doing things on purpose instead of auto pilot
So proud of your guys! π§‘π
