Another 6 months transition (before & 6 months on)♥️🐎
New horse arrived (Nov 25) with a full set of shoes.
We initially trimmed and refitted shoes, then next trim cycle removed hind shoes.
Next trim cycle we removed front shoes and fitted composite shoes until the ground became softer. Transitioned to fully barefoot in April, using front boots when needed.
At every stage the horses comfort and quality of movement was paramount. If there had been any signs of soreness we would have gone back a step.
Shoes, fitted correctly, can be an important part of overall hoof care and preservation, and absolutely needed if the "environment" warrants it, however, this owner felt they wanted to aim towards barefoot and we were able to reach this goal by taking our time with the transition and listening to the horse throughout ♥️🐎😊
Owner commitment to providing wonderful care (nutrition/turnout etc) has made my job so much easier and faster 😊 ♥️

Beautiful day for wee lambs 😍🌄
Nearly through lambing with 6 ewes left (I'm sure they'll manage to draw it out though 😅) ♥️

Will be taking orders soon for:

**Wiltshire ewe and wether lambs
**Blackshire ewe and wether lambs
& our
**"Kenshire" ewe and wether lambs 😍

Available once weaned @ end of November 26.

The only disadvantage to having my "books closed" is that I don't get alot of rehabilitation cases any more unless one of my existing clients purchases a new 🐎😍 (or a new client sneaks in because their podiatry case is too interesting... 😅).

This dear wee mare was purchased at the beginning of the year with a range of issues, including some extensive podiatry rehab needed.

Below is a 5 month before and after of her hinds, which had a severe negative plantar/underrun heels ❤️
