Our beautiful girls are officially off on their well-earned winter break. 🐄🌿💚

After another incredible milking season, it’s time for the cows, and the land they graze, to rest, reset, and recharge naturally. Nature never intended cows to milk year-round, and at Opepe Farm Trust we honour that rhythm wholeheartedly.

Our cows are now enjoying their seasonal holiday, roaming peacefully and preparing for the next season ahead. We'll miss their delicious milk, but we know this time is essential for their wellbeing and for producing the healthiest, most nutrient-dense milk possible when spring returns. 🥛✨

Thank you for supporting a way of farming that puts animal welfare, sustainability, and the health of our whenua first. Your support helps keep our community thriving and allows us to continue doing things the Opepe way, slowly, naturally, and with care.

🚨 Heads up, Opepe whānau! Our beloved cows are getting ready for their seasonal break. 🐄✨🥛 To do their best work and provide you with the healthiest, most nutrient-dense milk possible, our gals and the land they graze need their annual break.

This means it's time to stock up on our delicious, creamy milk. We're pressing pause around the 15th of May (possibly sooner) and we will resume as normal in the spring.

At Opepe Farm Trust, we prioritise the welfare and wellbeing of our cows and ensure they enjoy a restful break in their natural environment because nature says they’re not meant to milk all year round! 🌿💚
