Still not sure where to find us? Our self-service milk dispensary sits at 📍 88 Kaimanawa Street, right in town. Open daily, 8.30am to 5.30pm.

Here's how it works. Bring any clean bottle from home and fill it yourself, or buy one of our reusable glass bottles and keep bringing it back. No single-use plastic, no fuss. It's self-service, so you're in and out in a couple of minutes. Easy with kids in the car 😜

No shade to the nuts, they are lovely in a satay. 😜

But there is something about the real deal🥛. If you have ever poured a glass of proper milk straight from the farm, you know the difference. The tea tastes better. The kids drain the bottle before dinner is even served.

That milk comes from our cows at Opepe Farm, 12km from Taupō town, and it gets to the trailer fast. You bring your bottle, you fill it yourself, you bring it back next time. Simple. ✅

The wait is over, we're back. 🥛

Kia ora whānau, the cows have had their break, and they're ready to share that super tasty, super fresh, amaaaazing milk again.

If you know, you know. That thick layer of cream sitting on top. The glass bottle that lives in your fridge and comes back to us for a refill. Milk that travels 12km from Opepe Farm into Taupō town, not halfway around the country.

Bring your own clean bottle (1L or 2L fills), or grab a reusable 1L glass bottle from the trailer. Self-serve, fill up, done.

Our cows have had their break, the trailer reopens tomorrow and from here on in it'll be open from 8.30am to 5.30pm, 7 days a week.

Same deal as always. It's self-service, so bring your own clean bottles and fill up. Haven't got a bottle? Grab a reusable glass one from us.

Thanks for waiting while our cows had their time off. It's a big part of how we look after them, and how we look after the whenua that feeds them.

Our beautiful girls are officially off on their well-earned winter break. 🐄🌿💚

After another incredible milking season, it’s time for the cows, and the land they graze, to rest, reset, and recharge naturally. Nature never intended cows to milk year-round, and at Opepe Farm Trust we honour that rhythm wholeheartedly.

Our cows are now enjoying their seasonal holiday, roaming peacefully and preparing for the next season ahead. We'll miss their delicious milk, but we know this time is essential for their wellbeing and for producing the healthiest, most nutrient-dense milk possible when spring returns. 🥛✨

Thank you for supporting a way of farming that puts animal welfare, sustainability, and the health of our whenua first. Your support helps keep our community thriving and allows us to continue doing things the Opepe way, slowly, naturally, and with care.

🚨 Heads up, Opepe whānau! Our beloved cows are getting ready for their seasonal break. 🐄✨🥛 To do their best work and provide you with the healthiest, most nutrient-dense milk possible, our gals and the land they graze need their annual break.

This means it's time to stock up on our delicious, creamy milk. We're pressing pause around the 15th of May (possibly sooner) and we will resume as normal in the spring.

At Opepe Farm Trust, we prioritise the welfare and wellbeing of our cows and ensure they enjoy a restful break in their natural environment because nature says they’re not meant to milk all year round! 🌿💚
