National Local Growers Hui in Rotorua this June!

Something for all local and regional growers of vegetables and fruits!

A volunteer team from Kai Rotorua has put up their hands to welcome you to this hui where there will be presentations on local food systems and business models, as well as plenty of time to chill and network with other growers.

- Chefs/hospitality - grower relationships ... understanding the needs and abilities of each side

The hazelnut harvest is now ready to try! Grown in our orchard and freshly roasted. These are not like your average supermarket nuts - come and give them a go - try before you buy at Kilns Coffee 🌰 🌰

Something new on the shelves this week - new season hazelnuts from Rehua Orchard. Come in and grab a pack of roasted nuts to snack on in the car.




Did you know 30g of hazelnuts contains:

3 grams of fibre - 11% of the Daily Value
4 grams of plant-based protein
A great source of omega-3 fatty acid
17 grams of total fat: 76% is from monounsaturated fat and 12% from polyunsaturated fat
Excellent source of vitamin E, copper and manganese
Good source of vitamin B6, magnesium and thiamin

While we’re waiting for the hazelnut harvest to dry (watch this space!!), we have a bumper crop of fejoas 💚

Spray free and from our orchard, fejoas will be available from Kilns Coffee from Monday $5 for a 1.5kg bag until we run out!

It’s our last PYO of the season today (Sunday 1 March), and the sun is shining. The cheese scones are baked, the coffee machine is on, the sunflowers are stunning and the Real Fruit ice cream truck is loaded!

Come and enjoy the last chance to wander through the fields. Bring your camera, snippers, doggo, friends and family 🤩

Open 10-4pm - then that’s it folks 🙌
