Although most of the winter jobs at the orchard involve chopping, chipping and burning, we’ve also welcomed our newest edition to the real fruit ice cream truck! The fancy ice cream machine now has a fancy coffee machine cousin to keep it company. Smashing news for our sunflower lovers later this summer (feels months away), but also for other little outings. Our first outing is likely to be the Taupō Ultra Marathon in October (at the 50km mark). We’ll keep you posted on when the ice cream truck will be back at Kilns Coffee for ice cream Friday ☕️🍦💛💚

National Local Growers Hui in Rotorua this June!

Something for all local and regional growers of vegetables and fruits!

A volunteer team from Kai Rotorua has put up their hands to welcome you to this hui where there will be presentations on local food systems and business models, as well as plenty of time to chill and network with other growers.
