Over the last couple of days, farmer Loren has been keeping an extra watchful eye on one of our cows. She was showing signs of calving, for the first time, however it wasn’t progressing. After 48 hours of around the clock care, and multiple phone calls with the vet, the decision was made that she needed help to calve. With the amazing team Te Puke Veterinary Clinic an emergency caesarean was done. If we had left her “to do her thing”, she and the calf would have both died. However she has a healthy calf, named ‘Lucky’ (by the kids) and mama cow is doing well 💚

It’s back! “The Good Farm” RAW honey. The hives on our farm had a glorious summer and the bees produced a delicious smooth, floral, dark caramel honey 🍯 It has not been pasteurised so all the nutrients are in there still — the way we like it

With the change of season and cooler days some of our garden is put to rest. Growth has also slowed down so we will be harvesting once a week, on Wednesdays, for the next few months. Thank you all for your continued support of our farm & garden 💚
