With nearly 900 entries from 126 stores across New Zealand, this year has definitely stepped up in competition!!! So it’s pretty special to have our products recognised amongst some fantastic competition from all around the country.

A massive thank you to our amazing customers for always supporting us, and to the team for all the hard work that goes into what we do every day. These awards make it all worthwhile! 💪

Today we’re heading to Auckland for the Dunninghams Great New Zealand Sausage Competition Awards! 🇳🇿

We’ve put a lot of hard work into our sausage flavours this year, and tonight we find out which one has made the grade against the country’s best sausages and picked us up an award! 🤞🥇

🏆 WE’RE IN THE FINALS! 🏆

We got the phone call today that Thomson’s Butchery has won an award in the 2026 Great NZ Sausage Competition! 🔥

We entered some of our favourite sausages this year, and one of them or hopefully more has picked us up an award.

We don’t know which one just yet? Until all is revealed at the awards night on 14th October, so for now the wait is on. But pretty stoked for our little shop to again be amongst the best sausage makers in the country🤙🥩
