10 years ago, we started in a small shed on the Coromandel’s west coast with a simple goal: to see how far we could push the craft of distilling. Since then, we have reached heights we never thought possible: from ‘World’s Best’ to our recent ‘Gold Outstanding’ at IWSC. A big ‘Thank You’ to the ones who have supported us over the years! To reflect this quality we have now moved our Coromandel Mānuka Gin into a sleek black label. We hope you like it!

One of the places on New Zealand’s North Island that are ‘Worth A Detour’ is the Home of Awildian Gin in Thames. Thanks to Peter Janssen for including us in this awesome book. Alea iacta est, it’s official - the 2026 World Gin Awards shortlist is out. The World’s 5 Best Matured Gins in alphabetical order are: Awildian Coromandel Mānuka Gin from New Zealand 🇳🇿, Hernö Gin Juniper Cask Gin from Sweden 🇸🇪, In Gin Baden Reserve Barrel Aged Gin from 🇦🇹, In The Welsh Wind Palo Cortado Edition from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿, and Komarjev Gin AB- from Slovenia 🇸🇮. Out of these 5 gins the “World’s Best Matured Gin 2026” will be crowned on the 2nd of June in London.

Some of the many botanicals that find their way into Awildian Gin are more challenging to include than others… Hibiscus (who would have thought?) makes up for things through the freshness and the beauty that it brings to our carefully crafted Coromandel Dry 🌺.
