An exported Embryo out of Otapawa Amethyst 1045, rising 13yrs, here at Otapawa. 😍 Stuart's Favorite Dam, with her first NZ born heifer calf on the ground in 2023. Between flushing she has calved 7 consecutive bulls, including Otapawa Admiral 5001. Sold to Glenbrae Stud for $32,000.

A great day at Feilding calf sale on Thursday supporting our clients. Hereford cross calves commanded big premiums (30-40c/kg) and top $/kg at $4.64/kg. This result dictated what animals are providing the best returns to finishing operators.

116 cows bred to some great Sires over a 14 hour period. Thanks to Rachael Fouhy, the Tararua Vet Services and Tararua Breeding Centre whom put together a great Synchronisation Program for our beef herd, and to Stuart for the marathon effort with the pistolette. 🍀
