Hi I'm Paula Ruiz, here's a little about me for you to catch a glimpse of my passion for creating. As a little girl I was encouraged to create and had a very talented Mum and grandma who had the patience to sit and teach many hand crafts. In my teen years I began trying to decorate cakes and absolutely feel in love with it. Learning from the beautiful books my Mother bought me I found I had a nat
ural talent for it and a love for creating beautiful things. Over the years as my girls grew, each birthday was an opportunity to explore another cake and the good old Women's Weekly cake decorating book was well used. In 2009 I launched a small successful business designing products for Babies and Mum's. Due to circumstances out of my control that business suffered irreparable financial damage. My girl's (now with daughter's of their own) encouraged me to begin making more cakes again and in December 2014 I made my first cake that someone paid for!! My passion for cake decorating was re ignited and I am thrilled with the cakes I have been able to do and the support from so many. To hone my skills I worked in an established cake business which only inspired me further to want to work for myself and offer truly beautiful, unique, tasty and affordable cakes. My desire is to provide people with the whole package when you buy a cake, attend a class, buy DIY product from Cherry Lane. It will give you a special feeling of being valued, you will know that you will only ever get the best from me. Opening a Beautiful Cherry Lane Store is next on my agenda! Watch this space!
