My kiwi bloke and me 💓 together since we were tweenagers 20 years ago! 💓 Kenney’s been farming the Aotearoa lands since he was 16 - Lover of our whenua and producing good food! He also loves to cook and as foodie as foodies come! Something not many people know about this guy is he asked me to marry him outside of New World Taumarunui when he was 13 years old! Obviously I said yes! He also has many pairs of the same outfit which include his red stubby’s through every season 🤪 I am born and raised in Taumarunui (Ngati Haua, Ngati Tuwharetoa, Ngati Maniapoto) and that’s where Kenney and I met. Before becoming a full time Microgreens grower, I was a part time music teacher, full time mama to my 3 baby boys, and lover of eating healthy food. I started this business after years of eating an entire bag of spinach every day just so I could get that daily boost of whole foods nutrition! I’ve also been a singer songwriter since I could play an instrument at 6 years old and loved all things health since I entered my adulting years. Something most people don’t know about me is I was whāngai to my Koko when I was a pepi, who was my great grandfather. Whāngai is a tradition in Māori culture where I was raised by my Koko and my mum and dad. My Koko also Whāngai my dad from birth and sadly passed away when I was 4 - but I still have the most precious memories of him 💓. My go to food is always ‘healthy, easy, and ALOT of it! I cook to feed the whanau (or the local rugby club 😉). - So this is a little about us - the local growers of the Micros you have on your plate each day!
