My wife and I enjoyed attending Fieldays at Mystery Creek in Hamilton—something I’d wanted to do for a long time. We had the opportunity to catch up with a couple of our meat suppliers. The event was a great reminder of why we’re proud to supply New Zealand-born and bred quality meat

Below is a headline from Stuff today, which I find very disappointing. The cost of meat has risen for reasons beyond our control, so referring to mince as "poor man’s meat" feels insulting to those of us who buy it. While it used to be more affordable, many people still choose mince because it is versatile and reasonably priced.

I grew up on eating mince and never thought we were poor. Now I enjoy meals like spaghetti bolognese, beef lasagne, beef patties and mince pies, and although more people are buying chicken because it is cheaper, mince still remains a popular choice.
