Our trusty machine has decided today is a rest day, so hot coffees are off the menu for today.
Don’t worry — we’ve still got iced drinks, cabinet treats, hot food and smiles ready for you.

As many of you would already know, yesterday we lost a very special member of our staff, this was a shock for everybody. We decided to close the shop so the staff could all be together and support each other during this difficult time and to show respect to Gaye and her family. We pass on our deepest condolences to Phil and the rest of the family and to Addie who is also part of Gaye's family.

Gaye you were one of a kind, cheeky, always keen for a joke or two and we all know how much you hated doing dishes! You did make that very clear hahahaha

We are all still very upset but want to remember all the times we had together.

Please be patient with staff if they need to take a minute for themselves.

🌈 POSITION AVAILABLE – 2IC ROLE
Rainbow Dairy & Café – Waimate
We’re looking for a motivated, organised person to step into the Second in Charge (2IC) role at Rainbow Dairy & Café.
This is a key leadership position supporting the day to day running of the café and working closely with management to keep everything running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
• Weekly Rosters – planning and managing staff schedules
• Paysauce Payroll – processing wages accurately and on time
• Front of House Leadership – guiding and supporting the FOH team
• Operational Support – ensuring smooth daily café operations
• Problem Solving & Decision Making – stepping up confidently when needed
Hours
Monday to Friday, with the occasional Saturday to cover staff absences.
What We’re Looking For
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Confidence managing staff and busy service periods
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
• Experience with rosters or payroll is helpful, but training can be provided
