YAAAAAAMS.
These beauties come from our mate Alistair at Woodlands Farm Partnership in Waimate, growing yum yams since 1991.
And they’re a millionthy (real number) times better than the pale ones you usually find.
Spotted a few sprouts? Don't panic!
It’s spring. The yams know it. They’re doing what tubers do and starting to grow.
Still edible. Still delicious.
Left them in the cupboard too long and they’ve really grown legs?
Stick ’em in the ground.
Congratulations. You’re a yam farmer now!
