Upper Clutha Rugby Club Established in 1922, Upper Clutha Rugby Club has a proud history in Wanaka. The clubrooms offer one of the most spectacular views in the country.

Upper Clutha Rugby Football Club is a well established icon in the Central Otago Southern Lakes districts. We have teams catering for those starting out in the Junior teams through to Colts and our Premier team "The Rams". Our playing season starts around March through to august.

It’s a big weekend in Ranfurly as the Rams take on Maniototo Rugby Club in what promises to be a special occasion for both clubs.

For the first time ever, the teams will contest the PL Anderson / MV Dowling Patrons Cup, created in honour of two great club patrons who sadly passed away last year.

The trophy will be played for in both roundrobin fixtures each season, ensuring their contribution to our clubs is remembered and celebrated for years to come.

This weekend marks the beginning of what we hope will become a proud tradition between two clubs with a strong history and mutual respect.

Get down to Ranfurly, support the lads, and be part of a memorable day of rugby.

From 2:00pm onwards, we’ll be hosting all the ladies for the game come along, relax, and enjoy:
