SALE DAY

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us in person and online for a cracker day at this year's sale. We were incredibly proud of our EBVs this year, and are absolutely thrilled to see that hard work reflected in the results.

Going 37/38 with an average of $12,162 and a record top price of $21,000 is a true testament to the dedication and effort Stu and Graeme have put into the last 60 years of breeding at Penvose.

To top it all off, this was the first year in a while that the 3 Duncan children were also able to be here together to help out.

Massive thanks to the PGG Wrightson team for their contributions to a great day. Thank you all for your continued support.

Pictured here is Lot 3, with an API (Angus Pure Index) of +171. Lot 3 has impressed us with his depth and length and walks very well with a good temperament.

API is something we take notice of when evaluating our sale lots. Bulls need to be at or above +131 for the AngusPure index

The API gives us confidence that bulls are most likely to leave progeny with superior carcase quality. At the same time they achieve desirable outcomes for self replacing herds, as the AngusPure indexes still reward cattle with strong maternal attributes like calving ease, scrotal and growth, along with carcase weight.
