Mission Brief for the Elf
Featherston Foodbank Festive Mission
Message from Santa:
“Attention, Elf! The Christmas spirit isn’t just about gifts—it’s about giving. Your mission is to help fill the shelves at the local foodbank so every whānau can enjoy this season.”
Instructions for the whānau:
The elf has been sent on a special assignment: collect non-perishable food items for the foodbank.
Each day, the elf will appear with a note or clue encouraging you to add something to the collection box.
Suggested items: jam, pasta, rice, cereal, baby food, tea/coffee, soap, tomato sauce, tinned tuna.
Daily Ideas for Elf Notes:
Day 1: “Santa says kindness is the best gift! Can you find a tin of beans for someone in need?”
Day 2: “Let’s make a pasta party happen! Add some spaghetti to the box.”
Day 3: “Breakfast is important! Can you donate cereal today?”
Day 4: “Warm drinks make hearts happy—tea or coffee would be perfect!”
Day 5: “Baby elves need care too—baby food or nappies would be amazing!”
