In 1990, a retail presence was established in the building we now occupy at the Basin Reserve, and beer and spirits were added to the product range. Grant passed away in November 2004, but Regional Wines & Spirits continues his vision and passion with our exceptional range of wines, beers and spirits, our expertise and service. Regional Wines & Spirits maintains its philosophy and policy of moderate and responsible enjoyment of alcoholic beverages through knowledge and education. Since 1988, we have organised a comprehensive wine, beer and spirits tasting and educational program that runs nine months of the year. The team here has extensive experience and passion for the product with several being involved in judging at national beer and wine competitions. In addition, we benefit from several independent consultants who are involved with our educational programme and product assessment. We were pleased to celebrate being 25 years old in 2012 and look forward to the next 25 years. Voted best Bottle Shop by the Wellington public and Capital Times (Wellington, NZ) 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012.
