It's with a heavy heart that the Dia family announces the closure of Alamir Bakery.
We are sad but overwhelming thankful for all the support we have been given over the last 32 years. We have enjoyed spreading the love of Lebanon with kiwis all over New Zealand from Whangarei down to Invercargill.
Our parents started this company after escaping the civil war in Lebanon - in the early days we had to explain what falafel and hummus was to supermarkets. We're proud these have become staples for many across Aotearoa.
Thank you again to our many customers over the years, including those who frequented our takeaway cafe and the restaurant in the later years.
If you can, please do support your local businesses. We all know it's tough out there but where possible, buy local and directly from the supplier to help keep other New Zealand companies alive.
