Dion and Tony got the night off last night for a thank-you dinner with .

We’ve sent them more than 15,000kg of fish heads over the last 3 years. That’s helped make over 30,000 family meals for Wellingtonians. Nonna would be proud. Nothing goes to waste in an Italian kitchen, and the head’s the best bit anyway.

Haven’t heard of Kai Ika? They work with and a bunch of other cool businesses and organisations to get the bits of the fish that usually get tossed out to the people who’ll actually love them.

That means less waste, more feeds on the table, and more fish left in the sea for our future generations.

It was a cracker of a night: amazing food, good yarns, and a room full of Wellington locals who care about the same stuff we do.

Grazie mille to Chris and the crew for putting it all together. We’ll keep the heads coming.
