Exciting and busy days on the grove here in Martinborough. We harvested the Barnea at the end of May and the Tuscans a week later. Our Barnea on Oxford Street was the largest harvest in our 11 years here and it is tasting great! Next week we will hand harvest the Koroneiki. While this year’s harvest is resting before bottling, you can still pick up a bottle or two at: P&K Four Square Martinborough, The Grocer Martinborough and Martinborough Wine Merchants or online at our link above.

As we know!

COOKING WITH OLIVE OIL - You can and should cook with EVOO. Olive oil has been shown to be one of the most stable cooking oils under high heat. The health benefits of EVOO, including the antioxidants and polyphenols, are preserved even when heated over a long period. The smoke point of olive oil is high enough that when cooking at home you will rarely reach it.

The cat is moving but I’m afraid it lost. The baby rabbit dashed for the big border and disappeared.

Nature in action. If you look very carefully, the cat is under the cherry tree waiting for the rabbit to move. We have been watching for 10 minutes and neither has moved. Wonder who will win!
