People throw around the term decadent, but there’s really no better way to describe this week’s new brews.

Black Milk gives you everything you ever dreamed of in an Imperial Milk Stout. The beer equivalent of that beloved New Zealand treat, a premium choccy milk; unctuous, sticky, and boozey. We’re in love, and we’re keeping this one around for a while.

It’s support act, Black Denim, is liquid luxury; an 8% smoked maple pecan dessert stout. This one is like jeans that fit perfectly - a rarity to cherish.

We told you, we’re indulging this week! You should too.

Black Milk - 8% Imperial Milk Stout

Full Cream Imperial Milk Stout. Plump Autumn barley, velvety oats, crystal and the darkest black malts, topped off with a decadent addition of creamy lactose milk sugar. We’ve brewed up a pitch perfect balance of delicate dark roast and smooth milk chocolate mocha sweetness. Pure, dark, delicious indulgence.

Black Denim - 8% Smoked Maple Pecan Dessert Stout

It’s the perfect fit. Black Denim Imperial Stout, brewed with seven malts including oats, wheat, chocolate, crystal and a delicate touch of manuka smoke, infused with maple syrup and toasted pecans. Rich, dark and decadently delicious mix of caramel malt and maple sweetness, with delicate nut and balanced roast. Time to pop that top button.

For a FRESH that’s welcoming in the cold months, June’s a beer with a surprisingly sunny disposition. It’s like all the sunlight hours and goodness these grains and hops sucked up and stored away over summer are now tucked away in this 440ml aluminium tube, just waiting for you to let them out.

FRESH June, Monthly Hazy IPA - 7%

Hops are a heavy hit of Motueka T90 & Cryo in the whirlpool, locking in a deep, rich stonefruit and citrus structure to the beer, followed by a super heavy dose of Yakima-grown Krush, Oregon Luminosa and even more Motueka. Motueka is a hop loaded with fruity esters and terpenes which give aroma and flavour but also fullness and the impression of fruit sweetness. Alongside Krush (think fruit punch) and Lumionosa (my Best Supporting Actor of 2025), you’ve got a beer loaded with juicy, soft fruit and citrus.

Summer may have passed, but there’s a glass of it in front of you.

WE’RE BRINGING BACK YOUR FAVOURITE BEER!

We’re celebrating 15 years of Garage Project this year - and what a journey it’s been. We’ve made a hell of a lot of beers over the years, and we’ve been taking a lovely wander down memory lane looking back through the catalogue.

Every day, at least one of you is in the DMs asking us to bring a beer back, and now’s your chance to make it happen.

Follow the link in bio to vote for your all-time favourite GP beers. There are a few beers we simply can’t brew again, but tell us what you want and we’ll do our absolute best.

It’s time for this year’s Hāpi Sessions collaborations!

Three collaborations, three breweries at the top of their game, and three beers showcasing brand new hop varietals from the Hāpi breeding programme.

Developing new hop varieties is a long process. Years of growing, selection and brewing trials before there’s enough to use at scale - which makes it especially exciting that this harvest delivered usable volumes of three new varieties, one featured in each of this year’s Hāpi Sessions beers.

Many Moons, Hazy Pale Ale - 3.8%

Britannia rules the hazy as Mancunian masters of hoppiness, Track, join us for Many Moons. New Hāpi Research hop variety NZ02, Freestyle Peacharine and Rakau meld seamlessly in a smooth, session strength pale ale, dripping with passionfruit icing, sweet orange and sun ripened stone fruit.

Interstellar Burst, WC Cold IPA - 7%

San Francisco’s legends of lupulin, Cellarmaker, beam down to unleash an Interstellar Burst of hop forward flavour. Cold WCIPA, IPL, California Pils, call it what you like, cold fermentation and new Hāpi Research hop variety NZ05, Southern Cross, Peacharine and Mosaic, delivers massive luscious tropical fruit aromatics and crisp, clean, punchy bitterness.

See You on the Flipside, WCIPA - 6.1%

We’re getting back to basics with Poland’s craft beer pioneers Pinta. See you on the Flipside, unapologetically old school West Coast IPA, with a contemporary twist courtesy of new Hāpi Research hop variety NZ17 with Freestyle Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka, delivering bold bitterness, punchy white grapefruit, mango, passionfruit and lime, all with a subtle sativa twist.

Every year, the Hāpi Symposium brings together a high-calibre group of international beer thinkers and drinkers together to dive into the future of hop research, and 2026 was no different.

The day, in March, was full of cutting-edge hop science and its practical application to brewing; GP shared Hāpi Research’s updates hop thiols and our hop breeding programme, while our guest speakers presented a wider perspective of how we can make the most of the unique, coveted hops we produce here in Aotearoa.

We always come away from these discussions pumped up, inspired, and with big ambitions for New Zealand’s contribution to world-class beer.
