A lot can happen in ten years.

Since we became the first customer in 2017, bStudio has allowed us to grow far more than was possible at our Aro St brewery while staying prolific, experimental, and independent.

Now, bStudio is becoming part of GP.

It’s a chance for us to work even more closely with the team in Napier, and gives us even more room to play.

Still independent, still finding a new way to do things.

Here’s to the next ten years.

A 6-pack of Good Shout Hazy = 1 french fry? 🍟

Juicy! Tropical! AND 99.9% carb free!

It’s so low, standard testing couldn’t even measure it accurately. Wellington’s Ferrier Research Institute developed a whole new method using NMR technology just to prove it.

This one’s been years of testing in the making, and now it’s finally time for a Good Shout. And some fries.

One French fry has more carbs than an entire six-pack of Good Shout.

Sounds ridiculous.

So we took the b**r to some of the world’s leading carbohydrate scientists at Wellington’s Ferrier Research Institute to make bloody sure.

Turns out, measuring almost nothing is quite complicated.

99.9% carb free. Hazy, not heavy.

F**k yeah, science.

Freestyle Southern Cross and Citra Cryo lay the foundation, with NZ Cascade, Riwaka, Citra and Simcoe bringing the goods. Crack the can and it’s sweet tropical fruit straight away, pouring a lush pale yellow with big aromas of fresh-cut mango and tangerine. Soft, juicy and very, very FRESH.

B**r and video games go great together!

For our Boss Level stand at B**rvana , we took inspiration from some of the seriously cool games being made right here in Aotearoa, and wanted to champion the local studios doing sicko work on the world stage.

One of those studios is Christchurch’s Black Salt Games, the tiny team behind DREDGE and the inspiration behind our B**rvana collab b**r, Last Cast.

DREDGE is a spooky fishing adventure game that went on to sell over a million copies internationally, land on a bunch of Best Games of 2023 lists, and win Apple’s iPad Game of the Year in 2025. EPIC!

Every evening in DREDGE, a dense fog rolls in around your fishing boat and things start to get a little weird. That world-bending fog was the inspiration for Last Cast, our densely hazy 8% Oat Cream IIPA. A boat load of oats, full cream lactose and a double dry hop of Mosaic, Motueka, Dolcita and Riwaka. Lush, tropical and smooth as.

Dive into the hazy depths, but beware what lies within!

Good game. Crisp golden NZ pils, crafted to showcase the new Hāpi Research trial hop variety NZ04. Canterbury barley with a light touch of toffee malt bring fresh baked baguette sweetness, balanced with clean bitterness, upfront grapefruit citrus and tropical passionfruit notes. Too ez.
