We’re very excited to share that baby no. 3 is slowly cooking away… 🥹😭🙏🤍

I’m 6 weeks pregnant today & have made the decision to share the news early for a few reasons, really, but the main one being that I’ve just never understood waiting. As someone who’s had a miscarriage & a chemical pregnancy, I know that I would share the news if that happened, so why not share from the beginning anyway?

Speaking about pregnancy early on isn’t “jinxing” a miscarriage; if a miscarriage is going to happen, unfortunately it’s already written in the stars & there’s nothing I can do it about it.

BUT, as a page predominately focused on mums & motherhood, I think there’s so much value to be found in sharing & talking about so many parts of the first trimester. Whether there are first time mums out there, other mums navigating pregnancy with other little hearts to old & everyone in between.. I’m excited to be able to walk alongside those at the same point & normalise the range of emotions & experiences that come with early pregnancy.

So anyway.. we’re all very excited & hopeful that we’ll get to meet our littlest love in November & can’t wait to bring you along on the journey! 🫶

Sending big big love to anyone that this is painful or triggering for. To anyone who has experienced loss or infertility struggles, please know that putting yourself first & doing what you need to to protect your peace is anyways okay (even if that means unfollowing me, I promise I get it) 🤍

This is going to sound so simple it’s almost ridiculous… but cleaning up after breakfast (table, dishes, clean kitchen) has such a noticeable difference in the way the rest of my day (logistically & therefore emotionally!) seems to go 🧼

I have gone through phases of doing this religiously & other times of being pretty slack (like recently after moving house) & it genuinely shapes our day.

When I move into the day after breakfast with everything being clean & tidy ready for lunch (including wiping down the high chair immediately ~ maybe my least favourite job, ever?) I just move with more calmness & clarity. On the days I don’t, I find I’m just playing catch up aaaallll day long & it’s the worst feeling.

I’m the kind of person that doesn’t function well in mess/ dirt ~ it just signals chaos to me & some days are chaotic enough without the added noise of all this stuff that needs doing in the background. I absolutely don’t sacrifice myself or my down time for endless chores but I’ve found that doing these small, repeated actions regularly throughout the day means you can stay on top of keeping the house clean, tidy & organised without sacrificing to your life to it.

Anyone else need a clean space to feel good? 🫶

Okay if you’re still buying granola from the shop, please please please take this as your sign to stop & start making your own!! 👩‍🍳

Not only is it super simple, but it’s super budget-friendly, packed with nutrients, pretty quick to make and if you have a Bub like me, is baby-safe too (no honey 🍯!!) 🤍

Make sure you save this recipe & send to a mama who needs this inspo 🫶

Here’s what you’ll need:
5 cups of oats
2/3 cup
2/3 cup
2/3 cup
2 cups coconut oil ()
2/3 cup maple syrup

Method:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 150°C & line a baking tray (or two) with greaseproof paper
2. Add all the ingredients to a large bowl and mix well until everything is combined & sticky.
3. Spread onto your tray/s and spread evenly (you want it fairly thin). Use a spatula to press down.
4. Pop in the oven for around 20-25 minutes or until the edges start to brown. Take out before or after depending how crunchy you like it!
5. Allow to fully cool before breaking up & storing in an air tight container!

Happy granola making 🤍

A new morning routine ~ feeding our biggest babies, Rosie & Tilly 🐮🫶

We’ve been in our dream home for a month now & we decided on a whim to pull the trigger on getting these calves ~ something we’ve always dreamed out. This is closely intertwined with our goal of growing our own little homestead which is finally possible now we have a little bit of land. It’s going to be a long road to build it all (think big veg patch, chickens, maybe some goats 😉) although we’re very lucky to have lots of established fruit trees already yay 🍐 But we’re excited to be here & these beautiful calves are the first step in that journey (although they are very much pets, not being raised for meat!!).

This little corner is starting to feel more like somewhere to keep the everyday too - not just the meals, but the moments around them 🤍

So I accidentally took a month off socials but I’m back! 🙃

It’s been a pretty busy month ~ between getting the keys & moving into our forever home, baby girl starting to walk, my parents & Nanna being here & some of the busiest weekends we’ve had in yonks!

But we’re all settled into our new house now & things are actually going really well. My boy has slept through the night 3/4 nights the last 4 nights (?!) which if you’ve been here for a while, you’ll know just how unheard of & amazing that is!!

Life is starting to settle down as we begin to slow down for Autumn & beyond. Autumn has always been my favourite season because I just love the feeling of it. It starts to get really cold in the mornings & evenings, but the days are still beautiful. There’s a crispness to the air that reminds you how fragile & precious this life is & if you’re anything like me, that reminder is so necessary every year as I find myself sweating often about the small stuff.

Anyway, all that to say I’m still here, but I’m excited for this new chapter & to share it with you all 🤍

I look calm here, but motherhood has been stretching me in quiet ways lately 🥀

Making the conscious choice to always fall headfirst into loving deeply & showing up through all hours of the day (and night) has meant that exhaustion has simply become another layer of my existence, rather than a fleeting feeling.

This season of mothering is full of intense, addicting, soul-giving moments of connection & wonder; but with it comes a never-ending giving of myself. And while I truly believe that’s exactly how it’s supposed to be, it’s okay that it sometimes feels depleting, too.

Lately, though, I’ve felt a new season gently creep in. My youngest is now 9 months old - and she’s evolving and growing (why does that feel so hard to say out loud 🥹), there’s more space for me to begin choosing myself again. I’m learning where I end and everyone else begins.

A quiet reminder to myself that I’m allowed to rest,
even in a life I’m eternally grateful for.

Holding space for you too 💌

Super easy, healthy & soothing teething treat for any other little ones out there struggling with those damn 🦷

Frozen blueberry, chia, yoghurt clusters 😋

Save this for the next time those tough teeth begin to pop through & save to a mama who could definitely whip up a batch of these today ✨

How to make:
1. Mash 1 cup of defrosted frozen or fresh blueberries so there are no hard round lumps (choking hazard).
2. Mix with 1/4 cup chia seeds and scoop into small cookie-sized portions on a lined baking sheet.
3. Pop in the freezer for around an hour.
4. Remove from the freezer and dunk in Greek yoghurt before placing back in the freezer.
5. Once frozen, store in an air tight container & whip out whenever your bubba is struggling 🤍

Wishing you lots of sleep & soothing for anyone cutting atm!

Thought I would show you guys a lil grocery haul today 🥦

I love seeing these so thought I’d share! We’ve always been a single income household, until recently, and one of the most effective ways to use our money has always been buying whole foods & cooking everything from scratch ~ plus it makes me feel good knowing what’s going into my children lil growing bodies!

Does this shop look similar to yours?

Also is anyone else desperately waiting for berry season because… I really am counting down the days haha!
