I’m currently developing a **12-language signature course** as part of my learning design program.

The idea is simple: you can learn English or Spanish, while also exploring other languages and cultures if you’re interested.

Here’s a little story connected to Italian.

When I was 16, we had an Italian exchange student stay with us for a year. During that time, I was able to learn some Italian and also improve my French.

Experiences like this are what inspired me to connect language learning with culture and real-life interaction.

And one day, I’d love to go back — because a trip to Italy is a must… especially Sardinia. 🇮🇹

I started learning French when I was 13, and later went on a two-week cultural exchange to New Caledonia. That experience showed me what it’s like to learn a language as a teenager and keep up in a new environment.

I feel very lucky that I was also able to travel to Montreal, where I spent 10 months. That time really helped me improve my listening and speaking skills.

I even had the opportunity to teach basic French to Ecuadorian children — and honestly, that helped my own French even more!

I’ve recently started learning Portuguese, and it’s been a great experience alongside teaching English.

This method of learning through real phrases, audio, and daily use is not only effective for my students — it works for me too.

When I was 23, I set a goal to learn 10 languages… so I’ll definitely be keeping myself busy!

Because I love Latin America, it’s important for me to speak both Spanish and Portuguese.

What’s been really helpful is using my interpreting training to learn Portuguese. It pushes me to think faster, understand context, and communicate more naturally.

This is my personal blog, where I share content about Workplace English in New Zealand.

At the moment, I’m preparing for my interpreting exam and also working on improving my Spanish, especially in more formal contexts.

I’ve recently developed a new teaching method that’s working really well. I focus on short phrases, audio practice, and learning via cellphone, which I genuinely enjoy.

I’ve noticed that students are learning more effectively this way compared to traditional one-hour Zoom classes.

My Kiwi Languages is where I share my journey, ideas, and practical tools for learning languages in real-life situations.

Thanks to Carla and Laura for finishing the 4 week My Kiwi English course!
