Seafood party
When you want to cook something but also don’t want to turn on the oven, my go to is ceviches and crudo presentations.
For a recent dinner party I decided to go full seafood and make a selection of my fave raw fish dishes.
We started with Prawn Aguachile, which was a great entree into the evenings meal. Spicy and herbaceous dressing poured over marinated prawns was delish. Also for starters was coconut cream raw fish, a fresh and fragrant fish with monkfish and Terakihi.
We finished off the night with an orange and gurnard Crudo with chilli, orange and lime dressing, and topped off with quick pickled radishes.
The star and by far everyone’s favourite by the fact it was a clean plate was the Tuna Tataki with ponzu dressing, finished with furikake, crispy shallots and wasabi mayo.
Always a good night when great company is paired with great food and conversation.
Looking forward to the next catch up
