I watched her make her dough and couldnt believe how much yeast she used 2 mix up 10 kgs flour ....and when i saw how high her dough rose ...it was like capital OMG couldnt believe it 1 tspn of yeast and i aint kidding either . afta umpteen ph calls from my sister bout making money and the market, I decided 2 go and hav a look at porirua market ....but i said 2 her ...if theres one person out ther

e doing fry bread well i wont do it and lo and behold ...no one was doing it. A month later my sister passed away. After sitting around moping an idea was born.....my husband said....why dont u call yr bread wakas fryd yeast bread, she will still live and will neva b 4gotten ....so afta 20yrs she is still with us. People come home 4 a holiday from australia come 2 the market and take bac with them bags of bread....so waka is very famous lol, even 2 the extent of these 3 white sth african woman coming 2 the front person of our stall and asking him ....which white south african man showed her how to make this bread lol. was truly blown away and so honored tht other cultures do the same mixture but call it something else

Jeepars....I havta say it again...if by chance you hav leftova fryd bread turn yr oven onto 350....on my oven I turn it to 160 fan bake....wait till the light goes out chuck yr bread in the. Oven for mayb 10 to 15 mins...you won't regret it....the crust is so. Crispy...I hav it with butter n golden syrup....you will love it....oh btw I am only talking bout wakas fryd bread....dont no bout others bread

Ok back in the late 60s we used to hav card games at our marae and after they would hav a bring and buy table....well my mum makes her famous rewana bread...ohh to her and us it was famous....the bidding started and someone bought mama dukes famous rewana bread...my sister said to our mum...how come you didn't buy her bread...she replied I know what I put in my bread. I dont know what she put in hers and you no what... she bought her own bread...argh well those were the days.....gud memory

. .going up the top hav a few beers with hoonz....man he has tigers whare in ship shape condition....you would b so proud of tht nephew....was up there the other nite ...gave us tht albacore....the chicken of the sea he rekons...1st time Eva tasted it...will take some pics of his whare wen we go up....hes the caretaker of our whare 2...Carol Conway....man weather is primo
