Launching this weekend at Melton Estate is Mulled Wine. Our mulled wine (or vin chaud as the French say) uses Melton Estate Syrah as the wine base plus Nasta's secret spice mix and garnish.

The photo shows the mulled wine paired with our popular baked camembert - topped with honey and served with caramelised onions, orange and date crostini.

This weekend is a great time to visit for a mulled wine and a warm welcome.

Melton Estate is now serving a new winter menu - the perfect location for a family celebration, date lunch or a gathering with friends. Our main course selection includes:
Potato Rösti - Homemade potato rösti layered with roasted vegetables,finished with a mushroom sauce.

Chicken Breast - Basil, capsicum and cream cheese stuffed chicken breast topped with apricot capsicum sauce.

Fish of the day – example shown is with Salmon.

Canterbury Lamb - Slow roasted Moroccan lamb shank topped with a rich tomato jus. Served with a fragrant couscous and pea purée.

Bacon wrapped Eye Fillet - Prime grilled eye fillet, topped with Mushroom. Choice of Pinot Noir jus, mushroom sauce, or Indian kasundi.

Join us in raising a glass to Pinot Gris Day.

New Zealand Pinot Gris is fresh and full-flavoured, with notes of apple, pear, honeysuckle, spice and bread. The cooler South Island produces tighter wines with great structure, and persistence with a focus on pristine, pure aromatics and flavours of white peach, red apple skin and cinnamon.

We've taken our Melton Platter to a whole new level at Melton Estate. If you love a good platter and wine, think homemade dips, Barry's Bay Cheese, meat cuts, breads and crustini. Beautifully presented on custom plater boards and paired with a choice of 9 different wines.

All of this is just 20 minutes from Christchurch / 10 minutes from Rolleston, Lincoln and Prebbleton. Down the road in West Melton.
