Big news for Vat Guard! 🌱

We’re incredibly excited and proud to share that Vat Guard has been selected as part of the Sprout Accelerator Cohort!

Being chosen to join this programme is a huge milestone for us and an exciting step forward as we continue developing technology that helps protect New Zealand’s dairy farmers from costly milk contamination.

What started as an idea on our own dairy farm has grown into something we believe can make a real difference across the industry. Now, we’ll be working alongside an amazing group of innovators, mentors, and industry experts to strengthen our business, refine our vision, and prepare Vat Guard for the next stage of growth. The Sprout Accelerator supports early-stage agrifood ventures through a three-month programme focused on building strong startup foundations and connecting founders with industry expertise and opportunities. Sometimes things don’t go to plan on our farm.

It’s a good thing protecting your vat from milk loss or contamination is a whole lot easier than recovering a rolled trailer.

Well, that’s a wrap on Fieldays 2026

We’re back home on the farm, catching our breath and reflecting on what has been an incredible few days. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

A huge thank you to our amazing team who gave up their time to help on the Vat Guard site over the four days. Whether it was talking to farmers, helping with competitions, setting up, packing down, or simply keeping us sane, we couldn’t have done it without you.

We’re also incredibly grateful for all the messages of support, words of encouragement, and positive feedback we’ve received from near and far. Seeing so many people genuinely interested in what we’ve created and believing in our vision means more than you’ll ever know.

What started as an idea in a dairy shed has turned into something much bigger, and Fieldays has given us even more confidence that we’re on the right track.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, had a chat, entered our competitions, shared our story, or simply cheered us on.

Now it’s time to swap the pavilion for gumboots and get back to farm life!
