When we pick our kale on a Friday morning its often a case of one leaf for the compost (the insects have feasted on it) one leaf for the market. Our kale receives zero sprays of any kind, just grown the way nature intended so nature often shares it with us :)
Along with our gorgeous multi leaved kale tomorrow at the Whanganui River Markets we will have....

It's the beginning of spring and our strawberry plants are looking amazing and have even started giving us an early strawberry or 2 which are surprisingly sweet and tasty. We spent today tidying them up and giving them the required love they need to fill the tables with a bountiful crop of sweet juicy fruit. Not long now!!! 🥰🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓

This picture was taken this morning at the farm.....ok ok it was AI generated😁 but it certainly feels this cold these last few mornings and into the day. Quite a challenge to keep plants producing in this weather. The emerging asparagus has all been frosted off so we will have to be patient for that. But we will still have the following at the Whanganui River Markets

Today we are a little bit excited about starting the bed prep for our tomatoes, Here our French WWOOFer Alban is getting plenty of compost onto the beds. Feels somehow strange when the days high was 5 degrees but the Tomatoes look happy with their new home.
