Tortas are the Mexican cousin of a filled roll, but we reckon they’re better. We bake our own telera rolls to make sure they’re the best, but don’t take our word for it! Come and try one of these tomorrow (your mouth with thank you)

We’ll also have our burritos and tacos available.

Today at Porridge Watson we kick off a new weekly feast of some of our favourite dishes inspired by traditional Mexican cooking techniques and flavours, merged with a few elements from South America.

As well as our tacos that you know and love from our previous Taco Tuesday menu, we also bring you:

MUSHROOM AND NOPALES TINGA TACO
Brown and white mushrooms with cactus paddle in a chipotle tomato sauce. Served on iceberg and pickled red onion salad with pepitas

POZOLE
A delicious pork and hominy stew served with pepitas, cabbage, tortilla shards, onion, and coriander. Comes with cheese bread

CHICHARRON TORTA
A hand made telera bread roll filled with crispy pork belly, refried beans, slaw, chimichurri, and lime crema.

HANDCUT FRIES
With a cumin, black pepper, and herb seasoning. With chipotle aioli
