My venture into creating Opal Legbars in New Zealand is taking a new step. I know some of my Legbar girls carry the lavender gene as I am getting about a quarter chicks in that colour. I could DNA test at 30 dollars per bird, but I am now in the process of getting about 6-8 eggs from each bird and hatching them separately so I can see who is giving me those lilac babies.
