SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT 📣
We are offering the opportunity to lease and or buy our big boy baloo. This discussion comes after our great success with straw production and just today Kamo vets came to confirm pregnancy which we have been told the green light so we want to celebrate 🍾 twin 1 “thing 1” is due to calf in maybe a month or so with her confirmation mating being “March 2nd” we plan to keep some of his straws as we will have years worth for our selves now as well as sales straws.
Lease could be as long as you want “price based on months needed ie 6months to 1year. Baloo is only young and still learning. Pure Brahman mature slower so bulls take longer to get the idea on how to get the job done.
If he interests you let us know. He has been semen tested and has confirmed by vets calves on the way.

She may not be a Brahman but she’s apart of this Brahman herd
NZFRONTIER “SAPPHIRE” gyr x simmental
Sapphire was a sneaky purchase we just couldn’t miss being from a high growth rate breed “simmental” and having the hardiness and milk from her maternal side “gyr” she’s an opportunity like no other. The tropical genes give her the edge on any usual European breed.
Second photo is her having a race back to the shed after we went hunting for a lost halter

Big boy Baloo. We made the most straws from this boy with his first calf due in December and having such an unmatched popularity within the Brahman lovers community he’s drawn in a huge amount of attention.
If you are considering straws from us his are available
We’ve made enough straws to last years and plan to keep a fair few for our own mating plans to continue producing 3/4 cattle. Still slowly losing his winter coat.
We will have a big announcement about Baloo soon so keep your eyes pealed as this will be a once in a life time chance.

Rumble has always been such an amazing sire
For those considering straws from us
With hundreds of calves under his belt from cows and heifers alike his fertility is unmatched with any registered Brahman bull in New Zealand.
His temperament and structure have withstood the test of time being born in 2019 and still currently serving herds with his own four hooves we made the decision to also create straws from him down at viabull with Darren. We hope to keep his high fertility genetics in our herds for years to come.

A different kind of post
For those considering straws from us
Our stunning boy WHANANAKI TETREE owned by Jamie Hoggard is on his last season with us. He may be a big boy but he’s still able to safely service some heifers before he goes.
EBVs to count he’s been well proven with being heifer safe in dairy and beef so we made the decision to make 500 straws from him down at viabull with Darren.
We plan to eventually use some of his straws over pure Brahman heifers to make some stunning polled charbrays from pedigree lines to register in our database.

The definition of easy calving.
This gorgeous little heifer calf was an accident baby brangus, rumble obviously managed to get into Angus heifers “9 months old” 😵‍💫 she’s now calved out at 18 months old with no complications and a gorgeous heifer calf beside her.
We don’t condone such young matings but it does happen especially when you own bulls with such high vigour. So knowing you have a bull who can be safely calved from in your young cattle is a huge plus.

The calves are truely growing so fast. Being only a couple of months old now you can see the size of them compared to their mothers.
This season we are offering the rare opportunity to purchase some brangus younger at a weaning age as some mums will be getting moved on. If getting a brangus younger to have more time to bond and build into your herd interests you let us know. This includes bulls and heifers
They will be sold at our R1 heifer price “3k” male or female so if you want a chance at a breeding bull before he hits a mature bull sales price “5k” get in fast.

Went on a little adventure the other day to see some beautiful gyr cattle being mixed into a dairy herd.
Gyr are another tropical breed often over looked but they hold great milk records overseas and are a truely versatile breed to have. We hope to help bring this breed to life along side our Brahman journey which has lead us to getting this beautiful new addition
She is gyr x simmi with a little Friesian in her.

Isn’t he just a stunner
Polled red brangus bull he’s already showing great progress with temperament and structure. Super quiet bull.
This boy will be available at R1 for sale so if you hold interest let us know.

She’s a clever little heifer. Bonding time is so important when raising Brahman, they are so smart and they learn your habits fast.
