Texel Poll Dorset and Suftex.

Earlier in the year we purchased some of Wharetoa Genetics (Clydevale) Texel Poll Dorset ewes, ewe lambs and also ram lambs.
This year we will offer 36 Texel Poll Dorset 2 tooth rams. 13 of these are Wharetoa Rams.

There will also be 12 Suftex 2 tooth rams on offer.

DNA testing the last of the ewes earlier in the week. We are now officially 100% DNA tested over the stud flock. This is another step towards a easy care breeding as we no longer need to tag or mark at birth.

Our covered yards are nearly back up and functioning again after a tree went through it in the big winds.

A few photos from a few weeks back at tailing. Conditions were rather marginal for tailing then.

This year we have decided to DNA the ewes so we can go to full DNA parentage and very hands off at lambing with no tagging or marking of lambs. Our commercial ewes have done this for some time now so no reason that the stud ewes can not either.

This year we will also be holding our 2nd on farm ram sale on the 16th of January
