Well itās true what people say about parents of twins, they are classic overachievers as the genes so nice, they made them twice š¤©
This season, we aimed to produce healthy, sturdy, well marked and all-around purebreds. With having 3 different rams on the job, weāve been so fortunate to have produced what weāve set out to achieve. Weāve welcomed 4 girls and 2 boys to the flock this year and we havenāt finished yet. Here are our recently born Marshalls;
Starting on the 28th Aug, Elsie Peter ET & Wh**ky Peter ET have outdone themselves yet again, welcoming another set of twins, Caoimhe, pronounced āKee-vaā, & Oonagh, pronounced āUnaā, both very striking and strong ewe lambs.
Then, the following afternoon 29th Aug, our new attractive duo Brynn Peter ET & Peter889/24 have delivered us a magnificent set of twins, Faye & Lorcan, whom share a new Marshall bloodline to be proud of. Although Faye did start life slow and became a bottle fed baby, but has since caught up to her brother and has recently become our token PR girl, joining us for our delivery merchandise runs. Faye is full of life, a real sweetie with a lovely wee nature. Everyone who has met her seems to fall in love, making Faye a very special lamb and a great member of the flock.
All Valais and their lambs are doing remarkably well as they navigate their first spring. They will soon be back in the wool shed for some pampering and important health checks. But in the meantime, they are all staying warm, dry, and are kept well fed in this horrendous weather Southland has endured.
I honestly couldnāt have asked for a better flock, having bred 7 healthy ewe lambs, 2 ram lambs and 1 castrate so far this season has been nothing but extraordinary. Working amongst animals, like the Valais isnāt just a job but a passion for breeding the best š„°
