OTOCINCLUS ZEBRA/ OTOCINCLUS COCAMA🐟
Meet the stunning Otocinclus cocama, one of the most distinctive and sought-after small catfish in the aquarium hobby.
Known for its striking black-and-white zebra-like pattern, this peaceful freshwater species reaches approximately 2 inches (5 cm) in length. Its slender, elongated body allows it to move effortlessly through aquatic vegetation, making it a fascinating addition to freshwater aquariums.
Our Otocinclus cocama was collected from Blanquillo Creek by the Jerusalén Native Community, an Indigenous community located along the banks of the Tahuayo River, in the district of Fernando Lores, in the Peruvian Amazon.

This collection is part of an important step forward in the sustainable management of ornamental fish resources within the Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Communal Regional Conservation Area (ACR CTT).
The activity is carried out under a fishery management program approved by DIREPRO, establishing guidelines for the sustainable harvesting and responsible management of ornamental fish species.
