Oven Baked BBQ Ribs 🍖🔥✨
Tender, juicy, and coated in smoky barbecue sauce.
Ingredients:
For the BBQ rub:
• ¼ cup brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon paprika
• ½ tablespoon garlic powder
• ½ tablespoon onion powder
• ½ tablespoon kosher salt
• 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
• ¼ teaspoon mustard powder
• ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
For the ribs:
• 1 rack pork ribs
• 1 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions:
1.Preheat the oven to 275°F.
2.Add the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, black pepper, mustard powder, and cayenne pepper to a small bowl.
3.Stir until the BBQ seasoning is evenly combined.
4.Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
5.Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs, or carefully score it with a sharp knife.
6.Rub the seasoning mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.
7.Place the ribs meat-side up on a large sheet of aluminum foil.
8.Wrap the ribs tightly in the foil and place them on a baking sheet.
9.Bake baby back ribs for about 2 hours or spare ribs for about 3 hours, until tender.
10.Carefully open the foil and drain away any excess cooking liquid.
11.Brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.
12.Set the oven to broil.
13.Broil the ribs for 3–4 minutes, watching closely, until the sauce becomes sticky and lightly caramelized.
14.Remove from the oven and let the ribs rest for 10 minutes.
15.Slice between the bones and serve with extra barbecue sauce if desired.
