Finca Rosenheim

You can save money, or you can save coffee. Sometimes holding onto the beans is the right move—as long as you can keep them perfectly dry!

We took a chance and kept this parchment coffee in grainPro bags, knowing production would be lower this year. Now that there is less coffee available in the market and we want to get capital to start the harvest, that patience is paying off. We already agreed on a price for these lots. So we’re moving it into normal bags today to get it ready for a local buyer to take them!

A little over a year ago we took a chance on this truck. Since then, it’s become our daily workhorse, replacing the old gas pickup one trip at a time.
Now, with fuel prices shooting through the roof, that decision feels even more right.
Turns out, even in the heart of the Peruvian jungle, going electric is the way forward.

Let the "great fixing of stuff" begin!!
But apart from that, the coffee looks good and still green enough to give me some time before we have to drop everything and harvest....it great to be back 🤩

Finca Rosenheim GmbH (in Gründung) has been signed in today. My sister and I signed the papers that make our project official.
Our company is now born.
It may look like a small step on paper, but for us it carries real weight.

Lawyers and tax advisors and somehow we always end up talking about insurance.... This Germany.
But it was a very productive day and we got to speak with people that will help us get this going.

Yesterday, we had a quick but really meaningful visit to Rosenheim. Even though we didn’t get to explore the city much, the surrounding landscapes were just stunning.
We visited two coffee roasters, and .modest and despite the short timeline, they welcomed us so warmly. I'm very grateful.
They were fantastic hosts, and it really reminded me how important it is for producers not just to meet the folks who sell their coffee, but also those who actually roast and drink it. It’s a great way for us to feel truly valued and see the purpose in all our hard work.

Yesterday marked a special anniversary for us—13 years since my mother and I realized we could keep the farm and continue our coffee production.
I never really track the date, but my mom reminds me every year 😅. Now that she’s back home, she took the chance—together with Doña Celia and her son Piero—to celebrate with our team and send me some photos to keep us updated 🤩

We're taking our very first steps to start our own little coffee company here in Germany. It all begins in our kitchen, with the family and, of course, with great coffee. ☕☕☕
Let’s do this!
We're open to name suggestions 😅

Yesterday I finally met Daniel and Christian from in Bamberg.
We were welcomed so warmly, and we finally got to share that beer we’d talked about a while ago 🍻
These guys are building something truly special with their coffee shop and barista school — it’s inspiring to see good people doing great work and finding success.
Hearing that they’ve been using our coffee since the very beginning meant a lot. It made me feel part of their journey, and it’s a clear reminder that we need to get our coffee here quickly so it’s always available for them and their customers.
In the photo we are even holding bags that are ready and waiting for our coffee to fill them 🤩
Daniel, Christian — thank you for the Bier, the coffee, and above all, for making me feel like I have friends here I can count on.
Cheers to future collaborations and to working on new things together.

Today I met Markus at .
We arrived just as he was finishing roasting a batch of coffee and got the chance to talk about the industry, coffee prices and the power dynamics in coffee trading.
It was very valuable to hear his perspective as the other end of our coffee supply chain and appreciate the work he does to provide transparency and quality to his customers.
It was great to be there with my uncle and watch him see a coffee roaster in action for the first time. His amazement at the process, machines and careful work reminded me of how visitors react when they come to our farm and realize just how much work and care goes into every cup of good coffee.
Above all, this road trip meeting roasters that have worked with our coffee reminds me and confirms that, even in such a large industry, it’s always possible to connect with people who truly value the work we do at origin.
Markus, thank you for welcoming us and for sharing your thoughts so openly. You’re always invited to visit us in Villa Rica whenever you’d like.
