These two sisters come by every day to help us fetch water from the nearby Kefamo River during this dry period. 💧🌱

This morning, after their bath at the river before school, they brought two containers of water to our farm. At our farm, we pay K2 for every container, so their help this morning also means a little lunch money for them at school today. ❤️

They are among more than 12 members of our community who regularly help us fetch water and take on other extra work around the farm when needed. Many are standing by and hoping to join us permanently as the farm grows and more positions become available.

We currently have 3 permanent farm helpers, and we hope that as Hauslain Harvest grows, the opportunities we create for people around us will grow too.

Sometimes impact starts small — one container of water, K2 earned, and one opportunity at a time.🌱🐔

At Hauslain Harvest, we take our egg production records seriously. 🥚📋

Every day, we record our hens’ production so we can monitor how well they are performing, identify changes early and make better decisions about feeding and farm management.

We’re also grateful to have two permanent farm helpers who assist with the daily care of our hens and record keeping. As we grow, we’re not only producing fresh local eggs—we’re creating local employment and building a better-managed farm.

Good records. Healthy hens. Better production. 🐔🥚🌱

After months of training, coaching, mentoring, and refining their climate solutions, eight outstanding innovators have made it through to the ClimateLaunchpad PNG 2026 National Pitch Competition! 👏🌏

🥚 At Hauslain Harvest, we sell a single egg for just K1.

This means someone in our community can start selling eggs with as little as K2, instead of waiting until they have K100+ to buy a whole box before starting.

The interest we’re seeing from our customers is amazing. Some are buying just a few eggs, reselling them, and slowly building from there.

And they have another advantage — our eggs are locally produced and fresh. When customers know they’re fresh and locally produced, they sell quickly.

For us, it’s not just about selling eggs. It’s about making it easier for someone else to start small, earn something, and grow. 🐔🥚🌱

We are grateful to this beautiful customer who has been coming to the farm to collect her stock. She started with 14 eggs. She has been coming everyday and is now onto 6 eggs dozens. It is such progress that motivates us to keep going 🙏🏻💚💕

Hauslain Harvest has always been committed to climate resilience, green entrepreneurship and building sustainable communities. This quality business training has strengthened that path and equipped us with better knowledge to grow our impact.

I am proud to have successfully completed the program and to now be certified. Thank you to all the trainers, mentors and partners who supported us throughout this journey. 💚🌱

We just came across this post from PNG Shop Australia, shared a year ago. At the time, they were excitedly waiting for our cassava flour from Goroka and proudly supporting a PNG-made product.

We never saw this post, and unfortunately we never had the opportunity to update PNG Shop or many of our other customers after our operations came to an unexpected halt.

To PNG SHOP and everyone who had been waiting so patiently for our products, we sincerely apologize and thank you for your understanding and continued support.

The good news is that we're rebuilding, one step at a time. Before long, Hauslain Harvest will be back producing our cassava flour and fulfilling the orders that so many have been patiently waiting for.

🥚 It's the little things that bring the biggest smiles. 🧡

Our Australorp hen has laid her very first egg, and a few more have already followed! Moments like these fill my day with happiness and give me the motivation to keep going. 🐔✨

Came across a dead python today just outside my little farm fence, likely killed by a bush fire. Luckily, it never made its way to my layer chicken coop looking for eggs.

With the El Niño warnings and dry conditions, let's all be extra careful with bush fires. They can spread quickly, destroy farms, and kill wildlife. 🙏
