Phutie Tries Kamalig Oasis Resort

Together with my pickleball friends and work mates, we’ve decided to have one last hurrah for summer — And we found the perfect little oasis in Bataan: Kamalig Oasis Resort.

It has everything we needed for a fun and relaxing day out — a swimming pool, a cozy private resort vibe, and of course, a pickleball court! Perfect combo for our current pickleball era. 😄

We availed their Standard Day Tour for ₱10,000, and for an additional ₱1,000, you can get exclusive use of the resort and pickleball court. Super sulit, especially if you’re going as a group.

The owner and caretaker were also very kind and accommodating, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

Overall, we all had such a great time — from swimming, chilling, playing pickleball, and just enjoying the place. We can’t wait to go back!

Phutie Tries Pickleball at The Lighthouse, Subic Bay

Our regular weekly playground was fully booked, so we decided to try the pickleball court at The Lighthouse, Subic Bay.

The court has a nice open-air setup with a beautiful view of the lighthouse, the sea, and a cool Subic breeze — definitely a refreshing change of scenery. The surface is a bit rough, but still good enough for a fun game. Just a small note: the lights at night can be a little too bright for the eyes.

Court rates are:
☀️ Morning: ₱330/hour
🌙 Night: ₱550/hour

Overall, it was still an enjoyable playground and a nice spot to play, especially if you’re looking for a court with a view.

Phutie tries fuzzy wire bouquet 💐

Valentine’s Day is approaching, and everywhere I look—pop-up stores, malls, online shops—there are flowers, stuffed toys, chocolates… all the usual Valentine’s goodies.

Then my feed started showing fuzzy wire (pipe cleaner) flowers.
They looked easy enough, so of course I thought, “Why not try?”

Turns out… it’s not that easy. 😅
You still need patience, effort, and a bit of creativity to make it look right.

Since I was already making one, I wanted it to be different.
So I shared my idea with Aris, made a quick sketch, and here’s the result—a fuzzy wire bouquet with flowers, a mini teddy, and chocolates all in one.
