First Chomchan (Moonflower) Bloom

Our Chomchan (Moonflower) has produced its very first flower!
This is our first time growing this variety, and it’s exciting to see it finally bloom.

Chomchan is commonly used in Thai cuisine, especially the flowers and young buds.
They are usually added to light soups, clear broths, stir-fries, and omelets, valued for their soft texture and mild, slightly sweet taste that absorbs flavors well.

Traditionally, Chomchan is also known in Thai households as a cooling vegetable, often eaten during warm weather. It’s believed to help cool the body and is easy to digest.

A small milestone for our farm, and the start of more to come..

Hello dear customers!
We’ve been busy growing something special — and they’re finally ready!

Here are our new farm-fresh additions.

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐂𝐮𝐜𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫
Crisp, juicy, and the perfect sidekick for spicy dishes! In Thailand, you’ll always find this cooling cucumber served next to grilled meat or spicy salad, our variety is the small one which is commonly served as side condiment in Thai street stalls — one bite and the heat fades away.

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐚
The secret to an authentic Som Tam! Firm, long, and with fewer seeds — this is the real Thai variety you’ll find in local markets in Thailand. Make your papaya salad just like the ones on the streets of Bangkok.

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐨 (𝐒𝐨𝐦 𝐓𝐚𝐦 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐨)
These cute pink tomatoes are a favorite in Thai salads — juicy, slightly tangy, and stay crunchy even when mixed with lime and chili. They add that perfect pop of color (and flavor!) to your Som Tam.

𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐞
Essential for an authentic Khao Pad (Thai Fried Rice)! You can also use it for stir-fries — one of the most loved dishes is Crispy Pork with Kale. Fresh, crunchy, and full of flavor.

All grown naturally at 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦.

We had a nice harvest of Butterfly Pea flowers today.
The color is so vibrant — truly beautiful.
We’ll dry them and can already imagine how good it’ll taste with a squeeze of calamansi.

Filipinos are known to be food lovers. Whether it’s local or international cuisine, they crave it—and some even travel abroad just to satisfy their appetites. To cater to Filipinos longing for the flavors of Thailand, Ginalyn Valenzuela, a 35-year-old former overseas worker, found a way to make Thai herbs accessible in the country.

Harvest time again here at The Basil Farm!

We’re picking our Thai chilies — grown from real Thai seeds, just like how it’s done in Thailand. We take care of them every day under the sun, and now the plants are full of bright red fruits.

These chilies may be small, but the heat stays with you — perfect for Thai dishes like Pad Krapow, Tom Yum, or even just for your homemade sawsawan.

Every harvest day feels special. Seeing the colors, smelling the freshness — it reminds us why we love doing this.

Available while stocks last.
