Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. Whenever we see the Cross, we are reminded of Christβs victory over sin and death and of His great love for us.
The Sign of the Cross is a simple yet powerful gesture of faith. It reminds us of Christβs sacrifice while invoking the Holy Trinity. Here are five moments when we can make the Sign of the Cross:
1. DURING PERSONAL PRAYER
β To begin our prayer by invoking the Blessed Trinity.
2. WHEN PASSING A CHURCH
β To honor Jesus truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.
3. WHEN YOU HEAR A SIREN
β To pray for those who may be in danger or in need.
4. WHEN PASSING A CEMETERY
β To pray for the Holy Souls.
5. WHEN YOU SEE AN ACCIDENT
β To pray for those who are injured or in danger.
May we never see the Cross as merely a symbol, but as a constant reminder of the love, mercy, and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
We adore You, O Christ, and we praise You, because by Your Holy Cross, You have redeemed the world.
