Something I always look forward to at the end of each month is looking back at our sales, flipping the page then setting the tone for what’s to come. For October, I wrote: “Highlight of the month: Taste Makers.”
Little did I know I was declaring a milestone.
In our three years of running Pico Bowls, we’ve had many weekends where we’d sell out of our best-selling flavors. But this time was different. For the first time ever, we sold out of every single flavor. 🥹
What was once a freezer stocked to the brim with smoothie bases came home completely empty. And while our freezer was wiped clean, our hearts came home full—overflowing with love, support, and the kind of joy you can’t plan for.
Our small but mighty team drove back with tired hands and feet but with big smiles. Thank you, Sophie, Kuya Noy, Cliff, Ate Tonette (who’s not in this photo), and of course, Jasper for pouring so much of yourselves into this.
And to Taste Makers, thank you for giving a small business like ours the chance to grow, connect, and shine.
