Did you know that Halo-Halo was introduced to the Filipinos by the Japanese settlers? According to historians, the Japanese had sweet desserts called ‘Mitsumame‘ or ‘mongo con hielo‘ and ‘kakigori’ which closely resemble the Filipinos’ Halo-halo.

One of the earliest versions of halo-halo was the monggo con hielo or mongo-ya, which consisted of only mung beans (Tagalog: monggo or munggo, used in place of red azuki beans from Japan), boiled and cooked in syrup (minatamis na monggo), served on top of crushed ice with milk and sugar.

So our Matcha Halo-Halo is inspired by mong-ya and Kakigori. This is made of Red beans, Garbanzos, Nata de coco, Kaong, Crashed Matcha ice, topped with Red beans, Homemade Matcha Ice cream and Lychee. So Matcha-better! ✨🍵💚🍧

MAIS CON YELO HALO-HALO! This is consist of sweet corn, cream corn, minatamis na saging, langka, nata de coco, gulaman, and topped with corn flakes and mango ice cream 😍

The Mais Con Yelo (in spanish Maíz con Hielo“ that means “corn with ice”) is one of the variations of Filipino coolers, just like the famous Halo-halo. We added more ingredients to it to make it more an excellent refreshment.
