5 months of LAUM 🤍

For the past five months, many people have asked:
“Ano meaning sang Laum?” “Sa Kanlaon na halin ang word nga Laum kay may bukid sa logo?”

Today, we want to share the heart behind it.

Laum is a Hiligaynon word that means HOPE. 🌱
The mountain and the seed in our logo are not meant to represent a specific place or mountain. They symbolize our hope and faith. The inspiration comes from the teachings of Jesus in the Bible, particularly Matthew 17:20 and Luke 17:6, where faith is compared to a mustard seed.

For us, the logo carries three reminders:

🍃 Quality over quantity – It is not about how much faith we feel we have, but who our faith is placed in God.

⛰️Overcoming obstacles – The mountain represents the seemingly impossible struggles we face in life, and the faith that helps us move through them.

🌱Growth – A tiny mustard seed grows into a large plant, reminding us that even small beginnings and small faith can produce great and meaningful results.

Laum was never meant to be just a café. It was created to be a space where people can rest, connect, heal, dream, and continue believing.

As we celebrate our 5th month, we thank everyone who has become part of this journey. From a small beginning, God has continually allowed Laum to grow, not only as a place, but as a community.

So whenever someone asks, “Ano ang Laum?”
Our answer is simple: Laum is hope rooted in faith. 🌱⛰️
