We never stopped. We just paused for an opportunity that didnβt push through.
Two months ago, we were offered a spot at Panagbenga, Session Road in Bloom. At first, we hesitated because we knew it would require a big investment. But eventually, we decided to take the risk, not just for profit (though of course that matters), but for exposure. We wanted more people to know our food and our brand.
Aside from our ramen, we planned to introduce Lechon Belly and BBQ. We paused Zuru operations for a while and focused on preparations.
We had a custom griller made, bought a commercial rice cooker, purchased 15 kilos of pork belly, and prepared many other things needed for the stall. Altogether, we invested around β±60,000 in preparations, not even including the gas and trips back and forth to Manila.
Unfortunately, the opportunity we prioritized didnβt push through. We were left waiting and eventually realized we had been stood up.
We are starters but we are very professional, we would have completely understood if things had simply been communicated to us honestly. Trust was given right off the bat because the opportunity came through a direct connection to someone well-known. We believed in that.
But weβre choosing to move forward and not give up.
Despite the pause over the past months, we are incredibly grateful to our repeat customers who kept supporting us. Seeing familiar names placing orders again and again is something we truly feel blessed about. Your support means everything to us.
And if you havenβt tried us yet, now is the time.
