Vitamin C in Gamefowls.
Iāve noticed that adding a bit of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) to my birdsā water or feed really helps them bounce back when things get tough like during crazy heat, when theyāre stressed, or if thereās a bug going around. It works like a shield for their bodies, helping them stay fit and fight off sickness by supporting their immune systems and cutting down stress-related strain. Plus, it keeps the cells in their body healthy by fighting off harmful stuff that can slow them down and mess with their performance.
Even though birds naturally make vitamin C in their bodies, they donāt make enough when temperatures soar so giving it to them during hot days makes a big difference. It helps them stay calm, hydrated, and pepped up, which means better egg quality, stronger feathers, and overall better performance.
And itās not just about surviving stress vitamin C also boosts their immune system. It helps ramp up antibody production and keeps them from getting hit by infections. Gamefowl with extra vitamin C in their diet can lay better, hatch stronger chicks, and just stay more solid overall.
